Tournament Format and Schedule:​​​

• 9 rounds Swiss System, using match point scoring

• Time control: 25 minutes + 2 seconds increment

• Details regarding tie-breaks and other technical rules will be posted at the event venue

• Day 1 (Dec 27): 5 games - Round 1 starts at 11:00 AM

• Day 2 (Dec 28): 4 games - Round 5 starts at 9:00 AM

Eligibility:​​

• The tournament is open to everyone - all levels and ages

• 4 players each team, no alternates

• Team average rating: 2050. Rapid Philippine National ratings as of October 2025 will be used

• Only 1 master will be allowed for each team

• Unrated players will be given an assumed rating of 1700

• Top Alumni Team: P5,000 - All 4 team members must be alumni of the same school.

• Top Senior Team: P5,000 - All 4 team members must be 60 years old & above.

• Top Ladies Team: P5,000 - All 4 members must be female.

• Top Central Luzon Team: P5,000 - All 4 team members must be from Central Luzon with valid government ID indicating their address.

• Top Northern Luzon Team: P5,000 - All 4 team members must be from Northern Luzon with valid government ID indicating their address.

• Top Southern Luzon Team: P5,000 - All 4 team members must be from Southern Luzon with valid government ID indicating their address.

• Top Visayas Team: P5,000 - All 4 team members must be from Visayas with valid government ID indicating their address.

• Top Mindanao Team: P5,000 - All 4 team members must be from Mindanao with valid government ID indicating their address.

• Top Novo Ecijano Team: P5,000 - All 4 team members must be from Nueva Ecija with valid government ID indicating their address.
